Key precautions for the use of parallel shaft reduction motors

Representative product of parallel shaft reduction motor: (F series parallel shaft helical gear reducer). When using such products, the following precautions should be kept in mind:

1. When installing the parallel shaft reduction motor, special attention should be paid to ensuring the alignment of the transmission center axis. The error shall not exceed the compensation amount of the coupling used. Good alignment can extend the service life of the equipment and achieve ideal transmission efficiency.

2. When assembling transmission parts on the output shaft, it is prohibited to use a hammer to strike. Generally, assembly fixtures and the internal thread at the shaft end should be used to press the transmission parts in with bolts. Otherwise, it is likely to cause damage to the internal parts of the reducer. Try to avoid using rigid fixed couplings. If such couplings are improperly installed, unnecessary external loads will be generated, resulting in premature damage to the bearings. In severe cases, it may even cause the output shaft to break.

3. The reducer should be firmly installed on a stable and horizontal foundation or base. The oil in the oil drain groove should be able to drain smoothly, and the circulation of cooling air should be smooth. If the foundation is unreliable, vibration and noise will be generated during operation, and the bearings and gears will also be damaged. When the transmission connection has protrusions or uses gear or sprocket transmission, consideration should be given to adding protective devices. When the output shaft bears a large radial load, a strengthened type should be selected.

4. According to the specified installation device, it should be ensured that the staff can easily access the oil level gauge, vent plug and oil drain plug. After installation, the accuracy of the installation position and the reliability of each fastener being tightened should be comprehensively checked in sequence. After installation, the reducer should be able to rotate flexibly. The reducer uses oil bath splash lubrication. Before operation, the user needs to remove the plug of the vent hole and replace it with a vent plug. According to different installation positions, open the screw of the oil level plug to check the height of the oil level line, add oil from the oil level plug until the lubricating oil overflows from the screw hole of the oil level plug, and then tighten the oil level plug. Only after confirmation can no-load test run be carried out. The test run time shall not be less than 2 hours. The operation process should be stable without impact, vibration, abnormal noise and oil leakage. Once any abnormality is found, it should be eliminated in time.

After a certain period of time, the oil level should be checked again to prevent possible leakage of the casing. If the ambient temperature is too high or too low, the brand of lubricating oil can be changed.
